I love to ski. I’m not professional about it. But skiing is the bomb. The best part of skiing is standing at the top of a slope (top of the mountain sometimes) and looking out at the expanse spreading out around around you. You feel so disconnected from all of your problems and a part of nature…

Of course the ride down isn’t bad either! Something about experiencing a thing that is a little bit out-of-control is really exhilarating! Only thing is that I wished I knew how to slow down when I got to the bottom. People could hear me screaming from deep inside the woods before I stumbled over a branch in the snow. I didn’t wipe out though witch is better then the other 2 young dare devils that ventured to the top of the mountain with me. ( It was more like a large hill, but a mountain none the less. )

Good thing the other people on the slopes knew what there were doing by jumping for cover as we barreled down the hill full steam. Nope - no one got hurt but I paid a little more attention to my instructor the next time we tried it.
