Because it has only 15 trails, Howelsen Hill Ski Area in Colorado certainly doesn’t have the name recognition of some of Colorado’s other ski resorts, but a trip to Howelsen is a trip back in time. Located in the town of Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Hill is the oldest continually operational ski resort in Colorado and is known for its enormous natural ski jumps.
